Kalki 2898 AD is a sci-fi action drama and a superhero film directed by Nag Ashwin, the filmmaker of Mahanati. Prabhas and Deepika Padukone are the protagonists, with Amitabh Bachchan, Disha Patani, Dulquer Salmaan, Naveen Singh, Rana Daggubati, and Pasupathy in crucial roles. Kamal Haasan plays a villain role in the film. Santhosh Narayanan composed the songs and background scores.
It is one of the most expensive Indian films, with a total budget of 600 crores. This film is inspired by Hindu Mythology and set in a post-apocalyptic world in 2898 AD. The first glimpse of this film was released at San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) in the US, which hyped the audience’s anticipation. Meanwhile, the film crew recently released a new poster with its official release date.

This film was initially scheduled to be released on 9 May 2024. However, due to the 2024 Indian general election, it was postponed to 27 June 2024. Moreover, this movie is planned to be released in Telugu and Hindi, along with the dubbed version in Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, and English. The introduction video of Amitabh Bachchan in the role of Ashwatthama has boosted the expectations of the film among the fans and audience. Bujji and Bhairava teaser was released on YouTube on May 27, and it’s been receiving rave reviews.
The “Introducing Bujji” teaser video was released on YouTube on May 22, and within a few hours, it became a trending video.
The makers have released the official one-minute trailer for the movie on YouTube and it received millions of views and likes.
