After going head-to-head with the powerful Mrs. Astor in what fans called the “opera war,” Bertha pulled off a major coup: she got the Duke of Buckingham to attend the opening night at the brand-new Metropolitan Opera. That one move tipped the scales in her favor and boosted her social standing like never before.
Marian Brook finally took control of her love life. After ending her engagement with Dashiell Montgomery, she followed her heart and shared a romantic kiss with Larry Russell. Their chemistry had been building all season, so this moment felt like the beginning of something real.
Ada Brook, usually in the shadow of her outspoken sister Agnes, stepped into her own spotlight. She received a generous inheritance that not only gave her financial independence but also changed the family dynamics at home. It was empowering to see Ada take charge for once.
